NO HARBOUR
FOR GENOCIDE

30 October 2026International day of action

Dockworkers do not work for war

On 30 October, dockworkers in more than 100 ports across Europe, Asia, Africa and America are taking action together, under the slogan: Dockworkers do not work for war. It is one of the biggest coordinated workers' actions the docks have ever seen. Over two billion dollars of cargo will sit idle on the 30th of October.

Dockworkers demand four things:

Read their full demands in the Istanbul Declaration.

But they can't carry this alone. Without public support, they'll face the brunt of the repression.

Ports taking action on 30 October

The ports we can name so far, grouped by country. More than 100 are taking part and the list grows as unions confirm. Where a time and meeting point are confirmed they are in the list, and we add more as they come in. Each action says whether a dockworkers' union or another group is organising it. Know of one we are missing? Tell us.

What passes through these ports

Between August 2025 and September 2026, No Harbour for Genocide has tracked 315 shipments of components for Elbit Systems, Israel's largest arms manufacturer, moving through 56 commercial ports in 29 countries. Between December 2025 and September 2026, No Harbour for Genocide also tracked 3,400 shipments of cargo supplying US military bases through 67 ports in 42 countries. Ports on the list above with documented transfers say so under "What passes through this port". The full figures are in the text distributed to the press in Rome.

Stand with dockworkers

Join an action on 30 October and share the call. In cities across the world there are solidarity actions with the dockworkers on the day: protests, pickets, rallies. Most of the ports on the map will have something happening outside the gates. Find out what is happening where you are, and go. Not near a port? There is still plenty to do.

  1. Push the declaration

Share it, print it, take it to your union meeting, your city council, your MP. The militarisation of society affects us all.

  3. Are you a union member?

Email your union to stand with the dockworkers, or bring in a motion to support them. No worker should work for war! We have written a motion you can take to your branch meeting: fill in your branch and union and it is ready to table.

    Use the motion template

  4. Are you a dockworker, port worker or seafarer?

Contact your union to take a stance, and contact us at info@noharbourforgenocide.com to support you. If you want to put it to your union, we have written a motion you can fill in and table, and a letter to your port authority.

  5. Are you in a city with known shipments?

Email the relevant port authority. Urge it to do its due diligence. Ports where No Harbour for Genocide has documented shipments say so in the list above. We have written the letter for you: pick your port and it fills itself in, then copy it, download it or email it. The template helps you find the right address at your port authority. It is built on the operational guidelines for port authorities by ASCOMARE and Law for Palestine.

  6. Organise your workplace

The dockworkers' question is asked of every worker: who does our labour serve? Workers in Palestine has resources on organising your workplace against complicity.

  7. Follow the unions and amplify them

On the day, repost what the dockworkers and their unions publish rather than speaking for them. Start with @noharbour4genocide, @portsinaction, @calp_genova, @unionesindacaledibase, @labsindikatua and @limanissendikasi.

  8. Film on the day and send it in

Short clips of the action at your port help the whole movement see itself. Keep people who have not agreed to be filmed out of shot. Email info@noharbourforgenocide.com for the upload link, or tag @noharbour4genocide.
